Christopher Ryan Lou Agoncillo popularly known as Ryan Agoncillo, was born on April 10, 1979 in Los Angeles, California. He is a Filipino Film and Television actor, model, singer, photographer, and TV hostGrowing up in an upper middle-class family, he attended private schools from elementary to college. He graduated from De La Salle University-Manila with a Bachelor of Arts degree, major in Organizational Communication.Agoncillo started modeling at the age of fifteen 15. He has appeared in television commercials, most notably for Penshoppe, a clothing line; Sprite, a sofdrink brand; and Islacom, a wireless cellular communications provider. He also recently appeared on a Smart Communications promotion commercial (2005) and Fitrum (with real-life wife Judy Ann Santos).Agoncillo became one of the original hosts of Mornings at GMA, an early morning variety program of GMA Network. He also hosted Campus Video, a short-lived program shown every Saturday mornings at GMA Network.

He moved to ABS-CBN, and became a co-host in Talk TV, a late morning talk show co-hosted by broadcasters Julius Babao and Christine Bersola, and actress Janette McBride.
Agoncillo was the main host of Philippine Idol alongside fellow ABS-CBN actress.
He returns to hosting with TV 5's Talentadong Pinoy a local version of Brtain's/America's Got Talent franchise, which showcases Filipino undiscovered talents. He also hosts Endemol's Pinoy Fear Factor which airs over ABS-CBN. Pinoy Fear Factor was shot entirely in Argentina.

In 2009, Ryan joined the longest-running noontime show in the Philippines, "Eat Bulaga!", it was his 4th Kapuso show after 7 years of hiatus on GMA, he was replaced from the late Francis Magalona who died in 2009. His wife, Judy Ann said that Ryan is not transferring TV networks since Ryan is not an exclusive contract actor of ABS-CBN so he can go in any stations if he want to. This is good for Ryan because he has three top-rating programs in three biggest networks.Agoncillo joined the talent cast of ABS-CBN. He is most memorable for playing the love interest of Judy Ann Santos in the television soap opera Krystala. He again appeared with Santos in the movie Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo. He received best actor nominations from different award-giving bodies for his portrayal of a confused newly-wed husband in this film. He will be doing a new movie with Judy Ann Santos called Mr. Housewife.
Agoncillo also played leading roles in independent film projects and television drama shows. He played the distinct roles of a grease-filled beggar and a transvestite in two separate dramatic episodes of Maalaala Mo Kaya, the biographical drama series of ABS-CBN.

He topbilled ABS-CBN teleserye, Ysabella with his long time on-screen partner, Judy Ann Santos.
Agoncillo returns to acting on TV with drama series entitled Pieta airing weekday afternoons over ABS-CBN wherein he portrayed Rigor, a character originally portrayed by the late Ace Vergel.
He also has a new tv sitcom, "George and Cecil" together with his longtime girlfriend (now new wife) Judy Ann Santos is now currently aired on ABS-CBN. This was Agoncillo's 1st Sitcom after his successful daytime drama series, "Pieta" on Channel 2. The show also won as Best Daytime Drama Series, but he was nominated as Best Drama Actor.
